Book Discussion: Missing the Kingdom: The American Church Being Preoccupied with Salvation While Missing the Central Message of Jesus By Dr. Wayne “Coach” GordonDescription: In his book, “Missing the Kingdom”, Dr. Wayne Gordon unpacks a noticeable pattern in the American Church… for decades, the American Church has poured its energy into getting people saved- into altar calls, personal decisions, and eternal security. But in the process, we’ve missed the message Jesus talked about more than anything else: the Kingdom of God.Join us for a comprehensive book discussion on “Missing the Kingdom”, on December 10th, 2025 at 6:30pm at Vigilant Hope Roasting (24 S 16th Street, Wilmington, NC 28401). Plan to read this book prior to this event and show up ready for a time of sharing, discussion, and mutual learning. Copies of this book are available at Vigilant Hope Roasting or can be purchased online by clicking here.
