A life-changing opportunity to make an IMPACT through investing in youth & our community!
SUMMER STAFF POSITIONS
TEAM LEADS
Invest in youth relationally and spiritually (develops relationships with students, leads devotionals, assists in educational workshops)
Lead teams of youth and adults on the project worksites ranging from gardening to construction and painting (no specific skillset/previous experience required, we will train and support you in leading projects)
Communicate clearly with project site partners
CITY HOSTS
Invest in youth relationally and spiritually (develops relationships students, leads devotionals, assists in educational workshops)
Operate the snack shop (sell merch and snacks, work as barista- no previous experience required)
Assist in logistics coordination (supply runs, grocery shopping, some meal preparation)
other potential opportunities for any staff who is interested include:
Leading worship (playing an instrument, singing, running a sound board or lyric slides)
Assisting in photography and videography work
Assisting in social media communication
Summer staff receive a stipend of $200 per week.
All positions include housing, meals, transportation, and training & support!
REQUIREMENTS
Spiritual maturity and actively pursuing a relationship with Christ
Passion for student ministry, biblical justice, and poverty & homelessness
A teachable spirit
Ability to model servant leadership
Commitment
Team mentality
Strong work ethic
Flexibility
Must be at least 19 years old by June 1
SUMMER SCHEDULE
START DATE: END OF MAY
END DATE: FIRST OF AUGUST
TRAINING: The first 2 weeks of the summer consist of Staff Training. We will also have 3-4 video meetings leading up to the summer for the summer staff team to begin getting to know each other and learn foundational training curriculum.
OFF TIME: Port City Project is just like camp- a full & high energy schedule! (Click button below to see general daily schedule). Because of this intense schedule, rest time is incredibly important. Each day during Port City Project, summer staff are off for 2 hours. Summer staff are also off every Wednesday afternoon from 1:00 P.M. -7:00 P.M. and every Saturday at 10:00 A.M. through Sunday at 4:00 PM.
