Vigilant Hope is a modern missions organization.
We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that exists to
educate, equip and empower the body of Christ to
reach those in need through the hope of the gospel.

Community Engagement
Vigilant Hope believes that the church is one unified Body of Christ and therefore we work to be an active and equal part of the communities within Wilmington, NC. We strive to blur lines by eating together, learning together, and working together as one. We offer opportunities at various meals, showers, urban gardens, and other events. Learn More

Poverty Education
Vigilant Hope offers educational opportunities to anyone who is interested in learning about poverty and practical ways to help. We have Educational Events and we also offer a hands on approach to learning with our community events and our Summer Missions Program, Port City Project.

Coffee
We believe that God created us with the desire to be productive and enjoy our work. Through your donations and purchase of our delicious coffee, we can open doors for others who wish to empower their lives through productivity and dignity in our Leadership Pipeline. Produce Box co-op
Through this partnership we are able to give people on Greenfield St access to fresh produce and a hands on opportunity to work in the garden.
Pick up your produce box provided by Rise Up Community Farms on Thursdays from 4:30-6:30 at the Roastery (24 S 16th Street, Wilmington).

Port City Project
Missions Trip
Port City Project plugs into Vigilant Hope’s year round work with people facing poverty and homelessness! You get to join in our weekly community meals and see how God is at work here in Wilmington.
Our desire is that Port City Project is a sustainable missions model- we plan missions projects that meet specific needs of our local partner ministries/ organizations for meaningful and effective service.

Vigilant Hope has a coffee shop and roaster in Wilmington. Our coffee shop is designed as a gathering place for people from all walks of life to feel welcome and at home and all coffee sales go to help support our mission to end poverty and offer leadership training in our city.
